WS125C – Water Softener
Aqua-Life’s Dual Tank Water Softener system is combined with a full mineral tank of High Activity Carbon (HAC), Solid Carbon, and ion exchange resin. It consists of two fiberglass (Poly Glass) tanks with stainless steel jackets and a brine tank that uses salt (sodium). The Pre-Carbon tank not only reduces undesirable tastes and odors present in the water supply but also helps mitigate water softener issues that can occur due to high chlorine levels. If water with a chlorine level of 1.00 ppm or higher passes through the water softener, the chlorine will oxidize the resin beads. This oxidation affects the softening process and cuts the lifespan of the resin in half. Installing an HAC (High Activity Carbon) Carbon Bed provides an excellent effect in reducing high levels of chlorine from the water supply.
